Take a look at our approach to Green
Fundamentally, there are two approaches to Green:
Be ECO with LimeROUTE
Offsets

Generally, this is a punitive approach that involves some form of taxes i.e. carbon tax), donation or increase in energy costs.

By paying a "penalty", we are made to feel that we have mitigated the damage that we caused. Of course, any initiative to reduce our CO2 footprint is a good one, sometimes offsets make us feel "ok" to pollute. From a corporate perspective, we have to decide between being responsible to our shareholders vs. being responsible to the environment.

From a personal perspective, we need to choose between the environment or, to some extend, re-evaluate our lifestyle that we have become accustomed to.

Reduction

Instead of paying a penalty (i.e. carbon tax) LimeROUTE's approach results in actual reduction of everyone's CO2 footprint. By removing all unnecessary activities (double handling, inefficient transport, building warehouses that are not required etc.) no reduction in lifestyle is required in order to be green. Further, corporations will no longer have to choose between the benefiting environment vs. cost savings. The greater the benefit to the environment, the greater the savings.

Regards, Gerhard Fiedler
